Editorials

Where creativity meets culture, and every story is an experience.

Here, you'll find a curated collection of magazine spreads, features, and editorial projects I led and contributed to during my time at Journey Magazine. These works go beyond reporting—they are visual narratives that explore identity, amplify young voices, and celebrate the power of storytelling through art, photography, and intentional design.

From conceptualizing themes to managing production, each piece reflects my passion for shaping stories that are as thought-provoking as they are visually striking.

Journey Magazine - Wakati Issue (Spring 2024)

As Managing Editor, I spearheaded the collaboration between Journey Magazine and Wakati, marking the brand’s 5th anniversary with a special issue that honored the legacy, beauty, and evolution of Black hair. This issue served as both a celebration and a cultural archive blending storytelling, photography, and personal narratives to spotlight the significance of Black hair across generations. Rooted in the theme of time—“Wakati” meaning “time” in Swahili—the issue reflected on heritage, identity, and the enduring impact of hair in shaping the Black experience.

Journey Magazine - Dreamers Issue (Fall 2023)

As Managing Editor, I led the development of Journey Magazine’s Dreamers Issue, a bold editorial project that celebrated the visionaries, creatives, and changemakers daring to imagine new futures. Centered on the power of aspiration and self-determination, this issue spotlighted student voices, untold stories, and imaginative visuals that challenged norms and championed individuality. The Dreamers Issue served as a testament to the boundless spirit of Black excellence, on campus and beyond.
